Today on your bFM Breakfast: Up and at 'em folks, it's a sunny Friday and Mikey is feelin' it; Fabian Fanboy is back in movie motherland with the most recent reviews; Johanna's got some groovy theatre recommendations; and Lockett from Deerhunter phones in to let us know they've got an album dropping today, woot! Happy Friday and all that.

Johanna's feelin' groovy this morning, recommending the Basement's upcoming Experimental Dance Week Aotearoa NZ. What's the connection between dance and climbing snowy mountains in nothing but a pair of jogging shorts? We're not too sure either, but it works.

Back in the land of film and Hollywood, Fabian dials in from outside the gym with a bed of noise from the teachers protest; action packed. With reviews of 8th Grade and Glass, so, yay or nay Fabian?

Deerhunter released a new album today and Lockett dials in to have a nice lil' chat with Mikey about it. Why Hasn't Everything Already Disappeared?, concerns the disappearance of culture, of humanity, of nature, of logic and of emotion. Lockett descibes the process behind this album, the longetivity of the band and even the band's forecast for the next two years. Featuring the title track, Death In Midsummer, this album is definitely worth a long listen.

Today on your bFM Breakfast: It's a little bit like Brexfast is spilling all over the radio this morning, and it's tense; Rod Oram's got the low down on international politics, and between the US and the UK, there's plenty to talk about; and Troy's got some tunes from a wee while ago. Thankfully, we've got all the best tunes to get you through your Breakfast. Phew.

Is that, Rod Oram, our US correspondent..? Very cool. Rod dials in from the United States to give us the political low down on what's been going on. But not only covering happenings in the US, Rod's got a few things to say about ye old Brexit in the UK, yikes.

Today on your bFM Breakfast: Rob's sunburnt and Mikey's an expert of hats (slip, slop, wrap, etc.) for Laneway; and is the North Pole running away? Rob reckons; Dr. Maria Walls reviews the steamy Thelma; and with a phenomenal musical line-up, what more could you want with your Breakfast?

Thelma is the steamy, sexy and spooky (Maria's words) thriller about a lonely woman who discovers her supernatural powers. Now, if that's not enough, Dr. Maria Walls is a big fan too. Involving education, libraries, powerful seizures and a dangerous attraction, surely that's a recipe for a blockbuster hit, right Dr. Maria?

Can You Adam and Eve It? w/ Rob Bollix: January 16, 2019

Apparently the North Pole is on the move, according to Rob's sources. The magnetic pole is moving, a lot, away from Canada but Rob wants to know if anyone can explain the world magnetic model really is, but not with long wheelbarrow words, pls.
