News Director, Ximena Smith interviewed Minister of Education Nikki Kaye on the broad scope of education in New Zealand. National has said they will implement a policy that would see a second language introduced at all primary schools, with Māori one of 10 languages likely to be offered.

Kelly chats with national MP Jami-Lee Ross about the current state of tertiary education and what the government has done in this sector over the past 9 years. They also delve into Labour's recently announced tertiary education policy package and explore the pros and cons, from a current student and MP perspective.

Neighbourhood Watch: The Sea Shepherd is discontinuing, same-sex marriage postal vote and drug testing welfare recipients.

Kelly spoke with Children's Commissioner Andrew Becroft about youth justice in New Zealand and how our lowest income families are faring. They discuss the debate around lowering the voting age, and the success of increasing the youth justice age to 18.
